Spreads as a dense mound requiring little to no pruning to maintain its shape making it an excellent low maintenance groundcover. Arrived in excellent condition two weeks ago. Pyracantha x monelf sku 6860 an attractive compact rounded shrub that displays bright red berries throughout fall and winter against glossy dark evergreen foliage. Cotoneaster apiculatus tom thumb tiny glossy leaves grace the arching branches of this tidy compact variety.The dwarf pyrachantha is an asian evergreen that has small bright green leaves and clusters of brilliant red berries that are bitter when raw but can be cooked into delicious jams jellies and marmalades. Very reasonable price for such high quality. Newer cultivars of pyracantha include dwarf varieties such as red elf pyracantha x monelf that grow to a more compact 2 foot height and also have improved disease resistance. They really dress up our back yard.
